Job description:

A major player in the global automotive market is expanding its cluster and body electronics division, creating a new leadership career opportunity. As the Hardware Project Leader, focused on Electronics & Instrumentation, you will supervise a large team of hardware engineers, managing the hardware project deliverables. This challenging role requires an experience degree qualified engineer experienced in leading Hardware Development projects and managing Hardware team members at technical level. 

Our clients UK HQ is in Essex, the company offers hybrid and remote working.  

Your responsibilities as Hardware Project Leader will include: 
 -- Lead Hardware Development projects and coordinate Hardware team members at technical level
 -- Supervise hardware engineering staff, ensure that manpower, material and budget needs are available to successfully carry out the responsibilities in the hardware projects to required quality level.
 -- Monitor team performance and carry out regular reviews in line with company procedures of the hardware engineering staff (Performance Monitoring Process)
 -- Design, development, and evaluation testing of electronics hardware for instrument clusters, body electronics modules and smart power distribution units

Your profile: 
 -- Degree qualified electronics engineer experienced in leading a team - experience in managing remotely a distinct advantage 
 -- Previous design responsibility for Hardware Electronic development from concept through to mass production     
 -- Extensive experience with engineering of electronics or instrument cluster within the automotive sector
 -- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation preparation skills.
 -- Full valid driving licence to drive in the UK
 -- Ability to travel both in the UK and Overseas, sometimes at short notice
