As the Site Engineering Manager for a leading food manufacturer, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance team delivering engineering strategies across their Trafford manufacturing site.
This challenging role requires a time served/apprentice trained engineer with previous experience in a fast-paced environment in a Senior Engineering Manager role, there are several CapEX projects planned; so you ill have previous experience of managing budgets and wokring alongside a projects team.
Our client is an established manufacturer, who supply authentic global foods to the hospitality and retail, foodservice and wholesale sectors, the site is AA BRC rated; therefore, you will have experience of working within a highly regulated/audited site.
Your responsibilities as Site Engineering Manager will include:
To develop and implement a planned preventative maintenance strategy for the site
Responsible for coaching, developing and leading all direct reports and for the successful application of lean manufacturing within the site maintenance team both structurally and culturally
Responsible for advising manufacturing and SGM on engineering maintenance budgets including periodic reviews
Improve site services and infrastructure standards whilst maintaining budget control.
Ensure company H&S standards and statutory regulations e.g. legal & mandatory, food safety etc. are complied with, within own area of control. Advisory to manufacturing for other areas
Lead by example to ensure a behavioural safety culture is developed and maintained.
Your Profile:
Time served engineer with strong leadership experience gained in FMCG / Packaging manufacturing
Experienced in setting KPIs and ensuring OEE targets are met.
Experienced in CAPEX project management and managing budgets
Ability to implement a robust strategy working alongside OEMs
