Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Nights (Monday-Friday) + 1 in 4 Weekend On-Call

The Role

As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining production equipment to maximise reliability, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement across the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment.
Supporting production teams to maximise equipment performance.
Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery, HMIs and automated systems.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.
Identifying opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
Working safely and ensuring all maintenance activities meet food manufacturing and health & safety standards.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.

You'll ideally have:

Apprentice-trained Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical bias).
NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Engineering.
Experience within a food, FMCG or other fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
Experience working with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA or DCS systems.
Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.
A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit engineering team.

Desirable experience includes:

18th Edition Electrical qualification.
HNC/HND in Engineering.
NEBOSH or IOSH.
CompEx certification.
CHP or ETP experience.
