Low Voltage Energy Management Engineer

Were recruiting an experienced Low Voltage Systems Engineer to support cutting edge R&D and future vehicle programmes. This role focuses on the development, integration, validation, and sig off of low voltage systems and components across multiple vehicle projects.

Working cross functionally with Electrical, Body & Trim, Powertrain and Whole Vehicle engineering teams, you will ensure that all lowsystems meet programme, safety and compliance requirements.

Whats on offer:
Location: Hybrid (3 days per week on-site)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Until 30/06/2026 (very likely extension / ongoing for the right person)
Hours: 35 per week
Travel: Occasional UK & European travel
Driving Licence required

Key Responsibilities
Develop, integrate and validate low-voltage components both on and off vehicle
Review and approve circuit diagrams
Support software and hardware management activities
Lead fault- finding, diagnostics and root cause analysis
Work across engineering functions to deliver fully validated low voltage systems
Manage suppliers and track delivery of components and software
Support compliance, functional safety and documentation processes
Validate base software functionality and lowenergy management calibration
Provide technical support to production, aftersales, logistics and project teams
Conduct static and driving tests using specialist tools and equipment
Support part introductions, changes, releases and platform updates
Use tools such as CANape, CANoe, INCA, Vector tools, ODIS etc. for testing and validation

What will make you successful:
Strong understanding of low voltage vehicle systems and components
Experience with energy management systems, 12V power delivery, batteries & DC/DC converters
Knowledge of 12V charging technology, diagnostics, CCA/C20 standards
Understanding of medium (48V) & highsystems
Experience with CAN, LIN, FlexRay networks
Experience using Vector tools (CANoe, CANape, CANalyser), INCA, NI LabView/Diadem
