Were looking for a Vehicle Legislation Expert act as the key communication link between our legislation team and R&D functions, ensuring that cutting-edge vehicle technologies meet global regulatory standards.
Youll be the first point of contact for developers and engineers navigating new and evolving legislation. Youll interpret and communicate regulatory changes, assess their technical implications, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance across regions including China, US, and Europe.
Whats on Offer:
Attractive hourly rate (outside IR35)
Current end date 31/1/2026 – however expected duration is 12 months
37 hours per week
Hybrid – 3 days on site per week (flexible on days)
International travel to suppliers every 3-6 months
Key Responsibilities:
Translate complex legislative updates (e.g. C-V2X, 3GPP, IEEE 802.11p) into actionable insights for engineering teams
Collaborate with the VKO (Legislation Coordinator) to resolve inconsistencies and escalate risks or opportunities
Lead working groups to align interpretations and ensure consistent application of regulations
Support development of ADAS, GPS, and OTA systems in line with country-specific legal frameworks
Act as a trusted advisor to engineers on vehicle legislation and regulatory design constraints.
What Youll Bring:
Experience in the automotive industry and involvement in vehicle development programs from concept to production.
Technical understanding of vehicle regulation and legislation, with the ability to coach others
Ability to digest and present complex documentation clearly and effectively
Strategic thinking and business awareness to support decision-making
Familiarity with regulatory processes and a strong professional network.
