Are you passionate about precision engineering and dimensional analysis? We have a new contract with for a Metrology Dimensional Analysis Engineer to contribute to the continuous improvement of product quality across the vehicle portfolio of a luxury car maker.
Whats on offer:
Attractive hourly rate (PAYE onside IR35)
35 hour week – on site
Contract end date 30/06/2026
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery: Plan and manage daily project activities for a designated area, report progress and collaborate cross-functionally to meet departmental goals
Dimensional Measurement: Use advanced metrology equipment to measure and assess components, sub-systems, and vehicles. Build fixtures and interpret fitment processes to identify deviations.
Problem Analysis: Investigate and resolve dimensional and functional issues using root cause analysis and data-driven reporting.
Technical Expertise: Stay current with metrology technologies and maintain relationships with industry partners and solution providers.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a local team and contribute to shared objectives.
What will make you successful:
HNC in Engineering or completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship
Skilled in dimensional measurement and interpretation of engineering drawings – Polyworks is essential
Proficient in problem-solving tools and root cause analysis
Familiarity with the Product Emergence Process
Ability to influence and collaborate with colleagues
Catia 5 – beneficial
