Are you passionate about driving product excellence and continuous improvement? Tiro is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join a global manufacturer at its Southend site. In this role, youll play a pivotal part in ensuring company products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance.
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust quality assurance processes that align with industry standards and exceed customer expectations. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, support new product introductions, and maintain the Quality Management System.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead problem-solving activities to prevent defects and reduce variation and waste
Identify root causes and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed.
Analyse customer and operational quality issues to identify trends and drive improvements
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and business processes.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure product robustness, compliance, and longevity
Maintain quality documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What will make you successful:
Proven experience in Quality Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and auditing practices.
Proficiency in quality improvement and problem-solving tools (e.g. Six Sigma, SPC, 5Whys, FMEA, Control Plans, Cp/CpK/PpK studies).
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to influencing change
Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) is highly desirable.
