We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented chemical engineer to join the Manufacturing Development team.
The process involves a heavy reliance on water and steam within its process.
The role.
The position would suit a person in the early stages of their career seeking a dynamic organisation that can offer a strong career and development path.
The role will be mixture of manufacturing process engineering for product quality and cost together with a bias towards consistent regulatory compliance, such as water treatment on incoming water supplies and effluent for safe discharge.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring quality and chemical dosing, safety, driving environmental performance, and enhancing the use of process chemicals to keep operations running at peak efficiency.
This role plays a central part working closely with the Operations Management and shift teams reporting to the Manufacturing Development Manager to deliver on quality assurance, and cost-effective management of additives, while supporting continuous improvements in safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Your Background
Experience in process technology, chemistry, or a related manufacturing discipline.
Strong knowledge of quality control systems.
Understanding of chemical safety regulations (COSHH) and GMP requirements.
Commitment to troubleshoot process and quality issues.
Excellent organisational skills with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
Flexibility to travel and participate in on-call duties.
Chemical engineering qualification.
A commitment to drive safety and a process improvement culture in the business.
