As a Heavy Industrial Engineering Process Engineer with a global manufacturer, your role will be to drive forward ongoing process improvement, safety culture and development of industrial engineering. This challenging role requires a degree qualified engineer in chemical engineering that has gained experience in a process based heavy engineering industry either through an industrial placement or post graduation.

Your key responsibilities as Process Engineer include:
Working closely with Engineering and operations manager you will play a key part in managing mechanical, electrical and process site activities. Conduct and deliver regular reviews as to the current status of individual projects
Drive a safety first culture with a solid understanding of working in a strict permit to work environment.
Assist in the deployment of Lean techniques throughout the site in all departments.
Participate in ensuring that relevant training and development programmes are established for the success of the LEAN tools to be implemented.
Undertake projects of improvement, extension or modification or equipment in order to optimise efficiency, reliability and safety.
Drive the smooth introduction of changes in technology, equipment and play a major role in shutdown planning/activities.
Your Profile:
Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques eg six sigma etc
Previous experience in a continual process driven environment (Chemical, Petrochem, Pharma, Process, Paper) etc
Analytically minded with good problem solving skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
