As and EC&I Technician with a leading waste to energy facility you will be responsible for the execution of all electrical, control system and instrumentation maintenance across all aspects of the process, building and site systems. This challenging role requires an EC&I Technician with a recognised apprenticeship who has extensive experience gained within heavy industrial environments.

This is an exciting company who are leading the way in waste to energy management, they operate 30 sites globally and are commissioning a new state of the art site in Essex which has had a billion pounds in investment. You will enjoy working in a rewarding role that challenges you technically and being part of a team that will be responsible of the launch and ongoing maintenance of the site.

Your key responsibilities as EC&I Technician will include:

Carrying out fault finding, planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance activities on all EC&I assets to maximise plant availability including
pressure, level, temperature and flow sensors and control system(DCS, PLCs) and electrical equipment.
Assisting during major maintenance periods, shutdowns, outages etc. when required to ensure maximum plant availability and efficiency.
Working alongside other technicians in the maintenance team in diagnosing faults and assisting with equipment upgrades
Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS
Supervising and directing on site contractors when required

Your Profile:

NVQ (level 3 preferred)/HNC/HND with significant experience gained in a heavy industry.
Proven maintenance experience within a complex operational environment (Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Industrial Process).
Knowledge of Distributed Control System and PLCs
Experience of Cranes and Heavy Lifting (desirable)
