Job description:

We are currently recruiting for an EDS ENGINEERING PROJECT LEADER for a world leading global automotive company. This is a key role in the development of OEM future EV and Hybrid platforms. This challenging role requires a skilled customer facing technical lead engineer with extensive experience of managing Harness and EDS projects from design - prototype - change control - design freeze - release to serial production. 
Your responsibilities will include: 
Development of a wiring harness routing and packaging based on customer requirements under consideration of all engineering specifications, cost, quality and timing as well as environmental aspects. Measure and report progress of projects against the project plans, define and implement corrective actions when required. Prepare and deliver technical project presentations to customer. Management of Engineering Project Leaders and Co-ordinators, including recruitment activities, training and development, performance reviews and coaching. Plan resource requirements to fit to projects and advise on resource issues for UK team, ensure all projects are covered during periods of absence. Lead internal and external audits for the projects team, implementation of the necessary corrective measures.
Your Profile: 
Degree qualified engineer experienced in the design and development of automotive wiring harness as well as other automotive electrical/electronics products 
Proven ability to lead a development team from both a technical and line management perspective
Customer focused
Self motivated, able to work on own initiative, excellent team player
