Job description:

New career opportunity to join a world leading global automotive company. This is a massively expanding business driving future EV and PHEV platforms across Europe. Our client is seeking a EDS RELEASING ENGINEER to be responsible for the release of EDS harnesses and components into customer systems. The main purpose of the role is to ensure the development of competitive company products according to customer requirements and latest technological developments under consideration of all engineering specification, costs, quality, timing, and environmental aspects

Taking an active lead in creating engineering EDS complexity and resolving road blocks preventing this to be completed for respective release gateways, key tasks will include: 
Define, check and implement complex WERS coding to ensure wiring harness usages support the program and prototype and production vehicle builds
Enter part information into WERS system, create WERS alerts and track status
Create concerns and track to completion to support program timing
Enter part information into FEDEBOM, including defining feature coding, to ensure wiring harness usages support the customer program timing and gateways with the required completion status
Assist the design team to establishing complexity lists, working closely with the internal project team and customer
Your Profile: 
Proficient user of FEDEBOM and WERS, with experience of part coding in WERS
Understanding of part complexity
Able to compare same set of information in different format as example V-lock Up compare in Excel.
Excel VBA coding abilities
Excellent communication & presentation skills
Flexibility and the ability to work in a team as well as alone
Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, self-motivation and prioritisation skills
Experience of Vehicle EDS or electrical systems preferred
