As Technical Specialist – Software Safety Solutions with this leading automotive Tier 1 supplier you will be responsible for the global co-ordination of safety solutions for software engineering working to support the systems and safety groups. Provide support and direction to the core software engineering and platform groups with a view to standardizing approaches. Working with the silicon group to recommend architectures that drive the most cost effective safety solutions whilst minimizing the software and systems engineering task to reduce the impact on time to market.
What you’ll do as the Technical Specialist – Software Safety Solutions
Co-ordination tasks
“ Set up, run and minute bi monthly co-ordination meetings within engineering group
“ Invite other groups where appropriate
“ Set up and run jointly with the Silicon group Monthly co-ordination meetings
“ Develop command media for supply to senior management team
“ Including comparative cost models to deepen understanding
“ Co-ordinate Software Tools qualification WG.
Technical Goals
“ Development and release of guidelines
“ Recommendation and approval of architectures
“ Co-ordination of Autosar Safety solutions
“ Support purchasing activities
“ Provide focal point for reviews of ISO26262 software processes
“ Support software tool qualification when required
What we are looking for
Essential:
“ Over 10 years relevant experience
“ Post bachelor degree in relevant discipline
“ Good management and communication skills
“ Solid understanding of ISO26262 and the impact on software
“ Flexibility to adapt in an exciting fast paced working environment
“ Willingness to travel
Desirable:
“ Experience in high volume safety critical software development
