As the Technical Sales Engineer you will be responsible for Diesel System Passenger Car Sales. The customer team here in the UK is comprised of Sales, Applications and Project Management engineers. This team enables a close working relationship with projects both internally and towards the customer. These positions are to be based in the new office near Coventry.
Common Rail Diesel and Exhaust Gas After-treatment Systems together with Sensing Technology provide a comprehensive product portfolio for projects. They have a challenging task to grow their Sales to the customer Group over the next three years through implementation of acquired projects whilst building a strong and lasting relationship between customer & Diesel Systems.
Technical Sales Engineer responsibilities:
“ Responsible for engineering and commercial liaison with the customer covering areas – Purchasing, Engineering, Production & Quality in support of DS business activities.
“ Formulate commercial proposals relating to project acquisitions / quotation from concept through to series production and beyond.
“ Assist in negotiation and be responsible for reaching a good business agreement.
“ Provide core support to project Teams Technical Sales Activities.
“ Provide Engineering / Technical support to customer development and test departments throughout the programme development phase and beyond.
“ Liaise / network with other business units, divisions & areas to be informed of up-to-date knowledge of business environment and ensure best practice and consistency of engagement with customer.
Your profile:
“ You will ideally have Engineering or Science related degree or equivalent.
“ You must have the ability to work independently on global automotive projects.
“ Full engagement with all levels of business organisations within the organisation and customer base.
“ Good business acumen.
“ Experience in related diesel fuel system technical sales and ideally Project Management.
“ Ability to assimilate information quickly and accurately.
“ Meticulous with communication and information.
“ High numeracy level with accurate reporting ability.
“ You must have a valid Driving Licence and passport to enable travel within and outside the EU.
“ Willing to travel within UK and abroad at short notice.
“ Effective negotiator with good written and verbal communication skills.
“ Good presentation skills.
“ Team orientated and a strategic thinker.
“ Good inter personal/cultural skills.
“ Highly organised.
“ German and French written and speaking language skills would be an advantageous.
