A world renowned Aerospace industry specialist in Bedfordshire is looking to recruit a Stress Engineer.  The successful Stress Engineer will be working for a company that specializes in the manufacturer of aircraft/aerospace passenger cabin interior products for the commercial and business jet aircraft markets.  This company has leading worldwide market shares in all of their major product lines and serve virtually all of the world’s airlines & aircraft manufacturers. Stress Conducted analysis using either hand calculations, Nastran or Patran is essential, and ideally the appointed Stress Engineer will be familiar with current EASA and FAA regulations. As a Stress Engineer you will assist in delivering major programmes and supporting ongoing production for the Structures business ensuring they meet regulatory requirements. Stress Engineer Responsibilities Include:
**Produce the necessary reports to demonstrate that the design satisfies all relevant EASA or FAA regulations
**Detailed stress analysis of metal and composite structures
**Static Unit Analysis verified by Test
**Dynamic analysis of interiors structures
**Undertake the checking and releasing of detail, sub-assembly, general assembly and installation drawings.
**Preparation of schemes and provision of technical support for test programmes. To analyse test results and report findings.
**Provide ‘support to production’ services including investigation to queries raised through Design Query Notes and Non-Conformity Reports, production permits and concessions and any other matter where production time scales are potentially adversely affected.
 
The ideal candidate for the role of Stress Engineer:
**Educated to degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or have the equivalent experience to meet the requirements of this position.
**Previous experience in design organisation involved in aerospace design.
**Stress Conducted analysis using either hand calculations or recognised computer simulation of parts and assemblies in Aerospace either in metal or composites
**Conducted static and/or dynamic tests, produce plans and reports related to tests. 
**Documentation use of Word, Excel as a minimum and that these were written in English
**Familiar with current EASA and FAA regulations in particular CS-25.
**Excellent reporting and communication skills
**Good team working skills & work ethic
