Role: Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer with a global automotive company, you will make a major contribution to the development of high quality, robust software solutions using state of the art techniques to meet the stringent safety and performance demands of this rapidly expanding market. As part of this team, you will develop your expertise in:

Control software development: Real time control of vehicle steering controls
Software Architecture development:  Design and development software architecture and components in an Autosar environment
System Application: Tailoring software components to meet the needs of a global customer base and to ensure that legal, customer & TRW performance and safety standards are achieved
Safety Systems: Design and implementation of software to meet all relevant safety standards, including ISO26262
Customer management: To ensure that the development process runs smoothly, regular direct contact with the customer is essential, from defining system requirements to final performance sign-off

The ideal candidate:

Essential:
Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline
Proven experience as a software design engineer
Real-time, embedded C skills with hands-on debugging experience
Good practical knowledge of embedded software development methods and tools
Understanding of the software development process for real-time, low cost, high volume systems

Desirable:
Automotive embedded software experience
UML Design experience
TargetLink experience
Experience of Autosar architectures
An appreciation of digital electronic hardware
