Role:   Software Development Engineer

Location:   Basildon Essex or West Midlands

As Software Development Engineer working within the Engine Calibration Department you will liaise with customer engineers to receive feedback and support for the installation of the software applications

Responsibilities of the Software Development Engineer 
Collating requirements for automation software from customer calibration teams.
Defining specifications and developing software 
Re-coding software developed in Matlab 
Liaise with customer engineers to receive feedback and support in installation of the software applications.
Develop technical presentation material

The ideal Software Development Engineer will have the following:
Experience with Python scripting and .net software development essential.
Experience with C# development essential.
Working knowledge of Matlab/Simulink.
Experience with C++ software development preferable but not essential.
Diesel engine knowledge preferable but not essential.
Good Project planning skills
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills

Qualifications:
You must be degree qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with minimum class of 2:1
PhD preferable but not essential.
