Role: Senior Systems Engineer

Recent business wins have generated a requirement for a systems engineer to support the systems engineering activities in core development, as well as global application projects. This is a relatively new discipline within the company so you will have opportunities to influence how systems engineering will be applied. You will work at all levels in the development cycle from capturing customer manufacturing, safety, and legislative requirements; performing system design and managing system testing activities to ensure compliance with requirements.

What you’ll do

Assist with the management of customer requirements documents including appropriate reviews, linking to documents and identifying appropriate sub-system teams for dissemination
Support the generation of system design documents and requirements, including supporting reviews with appropriate sub-system teams
Assist with the generation of test procedures and review test results and test activities as required to ensure requirements at all levels are verified
Maintain compliance matrices for bid and application projects, including generating gap analyses
Support Systems Engineering leads on application, core and bid win projects as required
Support and lead issue resolution activities as necessary
Support dFMEA and other safety analyses both at a system level and ensuring continuity at a sub-system level
Evaluate product change requests from internal and external sources

What we are looking for

Essential:
2.1 or better degree in a relevant engineering discipline
Rigorous and positive approach to issue resolution
Demonstrated ability to work proactively
Knowledge of a range of engineering disciplines

Desirable:
Knowledge of design for safety critical systems
Knowledge of requirements management tools such as DOORS
Six-Sigma Green Belt certified
