Role: Senior Engineering Manager

As Business Development Manager, & Project Management required urgently to work with a Global Electonics Company to manage the Business Development and productising activities.  Candidates require a Bachelor Degree in mechancial engineering.

We serve a broad range of industries including automotive, home technologies, domestic appliances, power tools, office products, industrial equipment, consumer goods, medical devices and infrastructure automation.

Established in 1959, they ship its products to more than 30 countries for use in hundreds of different product applications. Innovation and product design centers are located in Hong Kong, China, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Israel, Japan, the UK and the USA.

As Business Development Manager your responsibilities include:
Business Development:
“ Create and execute plans to grow business within segments DDP
“ Market research to identify sub-segments and QFD
“ Market research to support market share and identify target customers
“ Provide leadership to sales staff ref business development goals
“ Assess RFQ and project viability
“ Price recommendation and approval

Product Management:
“ Productising viability
“ Productising product planning and DDP
“ Productising engineering project management
“ Product training to sales staff
“ Product road map management
“ Product line profitability tracking and reporting (BOM%)

Project Management:
“ Monitor PDP and PEP Project milestones
“ Supervise the project managers and the project planners
“ Track capex and tooling expenses
“ Coordinate project status with customer and sales staff
“ Manage customer visits and agendas
“ Manage and response to customer situations (problems)

The ideal candidate:
“ Motor and motion systems product development process
“ Manufacturing or quality process and operations management
“ Application knowledge in assigned market segments
“ Project management process
“ Productizing processes
“ Pricing process
“ Communicating Proficiency in English
“ Leadership and training of sales staff to sell the value proposition versus selling on price
“ Determining project and RFQ viability based on price, cost and investment
“ Translating QFD and product differentiation to revenue a forecast (DDP)
“ Managing right pricing of new project versus customer and sales target pricing
