World renowned Aerospace industry specialist in Bedfordshire is looking to recruit a Repair Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong Engineering / Mechanical and or Electrical / Electronic background gained in a low to medium volume manufacturing or Repair environment. You will also have previous experience in aerospace and will be familiar with current EASA regulations. The successful Repair Technician will be working for a company that specializes in the manufacturer of aircraft/aerospace passenger cabin interior products for the commercial and business jet aircraft markets. This company has leading worldwide market shares in all of their major product lines and serve virtually all of the world’s airlines & aircraft manufacturers. As the Repairs Technician working for this leading aerospace business you will be responsible for the repair of aircraft interior products to the standard required by the customer. This may include Electro-Mechanical products installed on Seats or Complex Mechanical Assemblies. You will be required to carry out the final Inspection stage & produce the appropriate release to service documentation from JDE
Network and Relationships:
**Work with the Planner / Purchasing to ensure all materials required are available on time in full to support the Product Repair TAT requirements.
**Work with the Cell Leader to ensure products are Repaired / Maintained in accordance with company systems and procedures, meeting customer / international standards, regulative and legislative requirements.
**Work with Engineering / Quality teams to ensure the correct information is available in the right place at the right time.
**Support the Continuous Improvement initiatives and able to generate new idea’s to support CI culture and lean manufacturing methods and techniques with in the Repairs business.
**Liaise with other departments / divisions to share best practice methods and execution.
**Liaise with customers and suppliers on Repairs & Customer Support.
The Responsibilities of a Repairs Technician:
**EASA Part 145 & Part 21 Signatory. Have to ability to carry out the final Inspection stage & produce the appropriate release to service documentation from JDE.
**Support business processes and personnel in continuous improvement activities.
**Liaise with customers, and suppliers to resolve customer issues, promoting customer confidence and satisfaction.
**Develop, implement and maintain Repair / Maintenance documentation and metrics including process maps, Work Instructions / procedures, standards, process and product specifications.
The Successful Repairs Technician will have the following attributes and experience:
**Strong working knowledge and understanding of Aerospace Maintenance Standards EASA Part 145, EASA Part 21.
**Repair of aircraft interior products to the standard required by the customer. This may include Electro-Mechanical products installed on Seats or Complex Mechanical Assemblies.
**Repair and Electrical Testing / Fault Finding of Seating Equipment or Sub Assemblies.
**Mechanical assembly and disassembly to engineering drawings of complex assemblies / structures.
**Understanding of Basic Electronic / Electrical Circuit Diagrams
**Continuous Improvement and 5S Mindset
**Able to read, understand and interpret engineering information
**Effective communicator at all levels both verbal and written.
**Man Management and Teamwork Skills.
**IT literate – Effective use of Microsoft Office software; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.
