An exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading Product Validation teams delivering approximately £3million sales per year. Performing Consultancy, Product Applications for Niche Vehicle Manufacturers and Product Validation. The Product Validation Group provides industry leading expertise for the validation of Automotive products and a range of products from the Aerospace industry.
 
The facilities include EMC, Vibration, Climatics and a range of Mechanical and Electronic Prototyping support services. The EMC team has become the Aerospace Centre of Excellence for Product Validation in the UK which, along with the comprehensive Environmental facilities, range of Vibration systems and number of Climatic chambers, provides the total solution to both the internal and its external customers for Product Validation.

This position is responsible for providing a single point of accountability for a number of projects covering the total life of the project including developing project plans and proposals to meet customer requirements as well as ensuring customer satisfaction through project delivery to time-scale, cost and quality targets in accordance with Quality System.

What you’ll do

” Manage product validation plans for external and in-house manufacturers to meet safety, quality and performance requirements on-time and in budget
” Liaise with customers regarding progress to plan and management of change requirements
” Chair staged project reviews to client procedures
” Define the mechanical, electrical and validation plan timing and critical path requirements
” Deploy relevant design, development and problem solving tools to achieve ‘Right First Time’ solutions
” Maintain the validation requirements flow-down, compliance matrices, dFMEAs, etc.
” Co-ordinate sub-contract services to fit with validation plan requirements and budgets
” Assist with and generate project proposals, and liaise with Commercial Dept to generate quotations

What we are looking for

Essential:
” Educated to engineering or other technical discipline degree standard
” Excellent project management experience and communication skills
” Appreciation of Product Validation techniques with a good knowledge of manufacturing technologies
” Flexibility to adapt in an exciting fast paced working environment
” Strong IT skills to include MS Project, Excel, Word & Powerpoint

Desirable:
” Experience of EMC/Environmental testing
” Strong understanding of automotive and/or aerospace product validation requirements
” Knowledge of German
