The role of Senior Sales Manager is a newly created role to manage EMEA sales and margin growth for the company’s instrumentation brands. In this challenging role you will formulate sales strategy and manage a sales team of 15 Sales Manager based in the UK, France and Germany. The position of Senior Sales Manager requires a sales professional with excellent knowledge of the temperature measurement market place and solid people management skills. Experience of another European Language would be a distinct advantage.

Home & field based with 50% overseas travel

Responsibilities include:
“ Formulating a sales strategy, which secures significant and profitable growth for all Instrumentation brands in EMEA
“ Developing an EMEA sales organization for all Instrumentation brands that is cohesive and under which staff are motivated
“ Providing monthly sales forecasting and activity and opportunity reports for all Instrumentation brands
“ Working with the EMEA Group Distribution Manager to drive sales of Instrumentation brands, through sales channels e.g. regional distributors
“ Ensuring continual feedback of all new product ideas from the sales team and liaise with Engineering and Marketing to develop these.
“ Working with Product Managers to ensure pricing for channel and direct business is at the correct level.
“ Collating all information regarding competitors and market activity in conjunction with marketing dept.
“ Working with EMEA Group Service Manager to drive revenue generation through service contracts
“ Ensuring training programmes are in place for sales staff
“ Monitoring overhead costs of the sales team and ensure they are within budget.
“ Visiting key target and existing accounts with the relevant sales personnel and focusing the team on the development of high value accounts.
“ Formulating the EMEA budget
“ Ability to travel extensively
The ideal candidate:
“ Experienced Sales Manager with experience of instrumentation product sales part temp/pressure measurement/monitoring.
“ Experience in building and managing a team
“ Proven track record of developing results from a team developing high value accounts
“ Results oriented, strong commercial acumen, persuasive, excellent presentation skills
“ Excellent written and spoken communication skills and ideally another European language
