Location: Park Royal, North West London
As Heavy Duty OBD Specialist with an international first tier supplier of fuel injection systems you will analyze the requirements of international legislative and diagnostic requirements and lead their implementation within heavy duty diesel control systems. Candidates require OBD experience and be educated with a mechanical engineering degree. The successful Heavy Duty OBD Specialist will receive a generous basic salary with Pension, Healthcare, relocation, discount on cars, 25 days holiday, Dental. childcare vouchers.
The ‘Heavy Duty OBD Specialist’ main activities will be drawn from, but not limited to, the following:
Legislation analysis
Analyse Legislation and provide guidance at a business and corporate level
OBD requirements derived from legislation like EOBD & ARB
Emissions requirements derived from legislation like European & EPA
Architecture and communication requirements like J1939 & KWP
Maintain a strategy adherence matrix
Provide training and guidance both internal and external
Technical Leadership
Guide and define architecture for fault diagnosis and fault management
Ensure OBD requirement coverage across multiple customer projects
Drive commonality of diagnostics and fault management
Ensure fault integration of external customer features
Lead design reviews / FMEAs for implementation of OBD requirements
Direction and review of diagnostic calibration and validation through lifecycle
OBD certification documentation release to customer
The ideal Heavy Duty OBD Specialist will be:
Educated to degree level.
Experienced in an automotive embedded application field.
Proven experience in the decomposition of OBD / Legislative requirements.
Understanding of diesel application and associated fuel injection equipment
Able to work unrestricted in the UK my client will not accept PSW visa’s
