This is an exciting opportunity for a Electronic and Software Engineer to join a leading Global Automotive company. This position is in the cutting-edge of automotive technology. Vehicle manufacturers are now moving their focus more and more to automatic systems.

This dynamic team is responsible for the design of radar based systems for automotive vehicles. This includes passenger car and heavy goods vehicles. These systems are micro-processor based using DSP functionality to interpret the data from the RF circuits.

What you’ll do

The position is a multi-function position requiring versatility, with knowledge of both hardware and software design, and experience in embedded software using the C language. You will be expected to undertake software design tasks and the design of circuits with the minimum of supervision.

“ Be a member of the DAS Team reporting to the Group Leader
“ Design, develop and qualify validation test equipment for reliable and repeatable testing of radar based systems during concept, development and production testing
“ Design electronic circuits including micro-processor circuit boards, digital circuits and analogue signal processing functions.
“ Design of PC based software and embedded software in the unit under test.
“ Develop and design of engineering tools for data logging and analysis
“ Support the build and commissioning of equipment developed
“ Liaise with other functions, suppliers and customers
What we are looking for

Essential:
“ Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
“ PC & embedded software development experience
“ Electronics design and development experience

Desirable:
“ Demonstrated ability in design and development of control systems
“ Knowledge of sensors and actuators
“ Automotive electronics experience
“ Experience with typical electronic engineering tools
“ Experience in validation techniques and requirements
