This exciting role is for a high calibre software/electronics engineer to show their talent and take on an interesting role in the development team. This position is in the cutting-edge of automotive technology, as vehicle manufacturers are now moving their focus more and more to automatic systems.
The Driver Assist Systems (DAS) team is responsible for the design of radar based systems for automotive vehicles. This includes passenger car and heavy goods vehicles. These systems are micro-processor based using DSP functionality to interpret the data from the RF circuits.
The position is a multi-function position requiring versatility, with knowledge of both hardware and software design, and experience in embedded software using the C language and assembler. You will be expected to undertake software design tasks and the design of circuits with the minimum of supervision. You will be responsible for:
Being a member of the DAS Team reporting to the Group Leader
Designing and developing validation test equipment
Designing electronic circuit including micro-processor circuit boards, digital circuits and analogue signal processing functions.
Designing of PC based software and embedded software in the unit under test.
Developing and designing of engineering tools for data logging and analysis
What we are looking for:
Essential:
Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Embedded software experience
Demonstrated ability in design and development of electronics
Desirable:
Demonstrated ability in design and development of control systems/electronics
Knowledge of sensors and actuators
Automotive experience
Experience with typical electronic engineering tools
Experience in validation techniques and requirements
