As an Electronic Design Engineer with a global automotive company you will be at the cutting-edge of automotive technology, as vehicle manufacturers are now moving their focus more and more to automatic systems. This opportunity is a design position in automotive radar development. The candidate would need to be enthusiastic, dedicated and have an excellent work ethic.

The DAS team is responsible for the design of radar based systems for automotive vehicles. This includes passenger car and heavy goods vehicles. These systems are micro-processor based using DSP functionality to interpret the data from the RF circuits.

This position encompasses the whole of the life cycle from requirements analysis to circuit test. As part of the DAS team, you will be expected to liaise with customers, define what is required and produce circuit designs to fulfil the requirement.  You will be responsible for:

Being a member of the DAS Electronics Design Group reporting to the Group Leader
Contributing to or technically leading the capture, analysis, specification and design of electronic systems
Contributing to or  producing documentation, circuit diagrams, BoMs and test documents
Optimizing PCB design for production and to minimize cost

The ideal candidate:

Essential:
Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Demonstrated ability in design and development of electronics
Demonstrated ability in requirements analysis and design of circuit modules/functions
Experience with micro-processor based systems
Experience with typical electronic engineering processes

Desirable:
Experience in automotive electronic circuit design
Experience in validation techniques and requirements
Experience in power supply design, ASIC design and vehicle interfaces
Appreciation or experience in embedded software design
