<p>Responsibilities:<br />
Working within a small sales team, the role of Sales Engineer will include:<br />

<p>The position of UK OEM Sales Manager (connectors) is pivotal to the success of the company&#8217;s Divisional EMEA sales strategy. The role will focus on demand creation through development of existing and new OEM accounts in the UK for the company&#8217;s range of connectors. Key markets for the company include industrial printing, utilities, packaging, traffic management, lighting, heating and refrigeration. Reporting to the EMEA Components Sales Manager, there will be regular contact from shop floor to MD level inside the business with continual customer contact at all levels.  As the OEM Sales Manager you will also be responsible for a Sales Manager selling another of the company&#8217;s brands into the UK market.</p>
<p>UK OEM Sales Manager (connectors) Essential Functions:<br />
* In conjunction with management, develop a sales strategy for the assigned region that secures significant and profitable business growth<br />
* Maintain and develop business at existing accounts and develop new OEM accounts in the UK, with focus on high value accounts.<br />
* Feedback market information, relating to new potential sectors for company products in the UK<br />
* Ensure that the sales and margin targets are met<br />
* Promote new products, and identify new product opportunities through customer interaction<br />
* Provide regular reports detailing opportunities identified in the UK<br />

An exciting opportunity to join a world-class team responsible for the test and validation of automotive, aerospace and industrial products.</p>
<p>This role is required to understand client requirements and progress opportunities through to order closure. You will generate new business leads, take full responsibility for conducting meetings with customers and generate proposal documents in response to enquiries. This requires very close liaison with the operations teams to generate technical and costing data and may involve off-site meetings, as directed.</p>
<p>This is a very fast-paced environment requiring excellent communication skills and a pro-active approach to complete all tasks within agreed deadlines.</p>
<p>What you&#8217;ll do</p>
<p>&#8220; Act as a key point of contact for existing customers and new enquiries<br />
&#8220; Understand client requirements and take responsibility for the progression of all opportunities through to order closure<br />
&#8220; Generate proposal documents in response to enquiries<br />
&#8220; Active liaison with customers pre and post order placement to ensure smooth test programme start, e.g. confirmation of test readiness and sample delivery<br />

<p>Technical Sales Manager Responsibilities &amp; Accountabilities:</p>
<p>&#8220;           Meet challenging business sales growth targets in line with the company&#8217;s growth aspirations as well as increasing the spend of current client accounts</p>
<p>&#8220;           Identify opportunities for moving existing products into new markets and initiating new product development.</p>

<p>The ideal candidate for the role of Technical Sales Manager will possess:</p>
<p>&#8220;           A scientific degree, BSc, preferably a PhD or MSc.</p>
<p>&#8220;           A proven sales background in electron and optical microscopy, with a particular expertise in consumables, accessories and specialist preparation equipment</p>
<p>&#8220;           Experience in sample preparation for both materials and biological sciences</p>
<p>&#8220;           Have used microscopy products in a laboratory environment</p>
<p>&#8220;           Technical astuteness: being able to discuss client`s technical requirements in some depth, and provide resolutions to queries.</p>
<p>&#8220;           A high level of professionalism, tenacity, a positive mental attitude, excellent negotiation skills and high levels of emotional intelligence.</p>
<p>&#8220;           Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential.</p>
<p>&#8220;           Ideally fluent in a second language (French or German)</p>
<p>&#8220;           Results oriented</p>
<p>&#8220;           Ability to travel extensively</p>
<p>&#8220;           Strong commercial acumen</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The position of Regional Components (connectors) Sales Manager &#8211; Germany, is pivotal to the success of the company&#8217;s Group Components Divisional EMEA sales strategy. The role will focus on demand creation through development of OEM accounts for the three of the companies brands in Northern Germany and will involve:-</p>
<p>&#8220; In conjunction with management develop a sales strategy for the assigned region that secures significant and profitable business growth<br />
&#8220; Ensure that the sales and margin targets are met<br />
&#8220; Promote new products, and identify new product opportunities through customer interaction<br />
&#8220; Provide regular reports detailing opportunities identified in the region<br />
&#8220; Provide Monthly Sales and Booking forecast for the relevant region<br />
&#8220; Mentor, train, support and inspire the sales channel, proactively managing dynamic goals and targets.<br />
&#8220; Participate in demand creation at strategic accounts, principally direct OEMs<br />
&#8220; Provide written call reports on activities within customer base as required<br />
&#8220; Participate in the preparation of the annual budget and its execution for the region<br />
&#8220; Liaise with Customer Services on customer issues<br />
&#8220; Collate information and occasional specific reports for senior management<br />
&#8220; Work closely with the customers and internal / external engineering staff to ensure that product are designed in at the earliest possible stage, and specified.<br />
&#8220; Create demand for the group&#8217;s products through direct contact and relationship development with key strategic customers.<br />
&#8220; The Sales Manager will travel extensively throughout the assign territory, which is geographically large, and will therefore require staying away from home on occasion.</p>
<p>The Ideal Candidate for the role of Sales Manager:<br />
&#8220; Good Electronics or Business Qualification, or similar by demonstrable experience<br />
&#8220; Solid sales experience, including demonstrable demand creation experience and success of developing OEM accounts as well as Channel Management experience in a technical environment<br />
&#8220; Experience of either connectors or specialist switch market place.<br />
&#8220; Be PC literate to a high level<br />
&#8220; Be able to communicate effectively in English with fluency in German and if possible another language relevant to the region.<br />
&#8220; Have the ability to identify new product opportunities within the market sector opportunities for existing products in adjacent market sectors.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Technical Sales Engineer urgently required for Original Equipment Navigation Systems to Japanese vehicle manufacturers in the UK.   You will be working as part of the global customer team directly responsible of EU, Asia and US Navigation activities with a UK based Japanese OEM.  As the Technical Sales Engineer your role will include leading commercial activities and project management support in close partnership with other sites globally.<br />
This role requires frequent travel to USA / Asia / Europe.  All candidates must have a valid passport and full driving licence.</p>
<p>As the Technical Sales Engineer your responsibilities:<br />
Internal<br />
. Regional support for Navigation project launch 2012<br />
. Follow and closure of commercial contracts<br />
. Support Bosch/customer plants for product release.<br />
. Coordinate EU marketing approach for product launch.<br />
. Regional support for Navigation project manager on 2013 development platform.<br />
. Sample development plan management.<br />
. Design change commercial team.<br />
. Ensuring customer timing/development requirement are achieved.<br />
. Business planning and growth development.<br />
. New project acquisitions.</p>
<p>External<br />
. Key regional negotiations with customer purchasing.<br />
. Development engineering relationship with customer.<br />
. Support of customer regional plants.</p>
<p>The ideal Sales Engineer:<br />
. A degree in Engineering or technical business equivalent.<br />
. Previous working experience in the Automotive industry.<br />
. Clean driving licence and a valid passport.<br />
. Regular Travel to other sites and Customer EU sites.<br />
. Yearly travel to other sites and Customer sites in US and Asia.<br />
. Excellent communication skills and able to work in a global team.<br />
. Original Equipment sales experience would be beneficial.<br />
. German and French language skills would be advantageous.</p>

The overall customer team is divided into Sales in UK and Project Management in Germany.  This customer team enables a close working relationship with projects both internally and towards the customer.  The position of the European Sales Engineer will be based at their office in Essex.</p>
<p>As European Sales Engineer your responsibilities:<br />
&#8220; Responsible for Sales, Acquisition and Technical Support of Start/Stop Starter Motors, Conventional Starter Motor Sales, Generators and Boost Recuperation Systems for the customer<br />
&#8220; Duties include: profitable business acquisition, customer satisfaction, price management, prototype ordering, commercial negotiation and regional RFQ coordination.<br />
&#8220; You will be primary interface to customer for all SG business based in Europe.</p>
<p>The ideal European Sales Engineer:<br />
&#8220; Degree in Engineering or Business Administration<br />
&#8220; Previous work experience in Engineering or Sales in the Automotive industry<br />
&#8220; Knowledge of rotating electric machines and  powertrain systems is desirable<br />
&#8220; Self-motivated individual who has good networking skills and is goal orientated<br />
