Responsibilities of the DFP Pump Engineering Co-ordinator include:
Overall responsibility of the DFP Planning tool.
Develop and implement the Global project plan.
Conduct regular planning meetings with functional managers and ensure all timing updates are recorded within the Global Plan.

Owner of the DFP Master Task list. Requires regular updates with support from all functional managers. The Task list aims to focus management attention on top priority projects.
Link the rig resource planning tool to the Global planning tool to ensure 100% rig usage.

Encourage a forward planning culture within the team to aid the pump team to deliver flawless project launches to meet the committed objectives and flawless launch metrics

Implement a data management tool to structure all major tasks within the engineering team using the company process to assure the project meets both customer & business objectives for cost, quality, delivery & performance.
Create RASIC – highlight the process flow between depts.
Implement RASIC through department.
Implement generic test requests and procedures.
Implement generic Risk Management tool.

Attend relevant product offering meetings, collate and prepare all key customer specifications for new business quotes. Review potential product offerings with the Chief engineer and aid good selection to meet customer

Be positive, encourage, coach & share knowledge with all CR pump cross functional teams
Communicate effectively, develop & conduct regular presentations to management on progress of the planning activities.
Prepare minutes/action plans following meetings to ensure all parties are appraised of progress at all times
To observe and practice all applicable company policies and procedures to ensure compliance

The ideal DFP Pump Engineering Co-ordinator:
Business Administration / Engineering degree or equivalent.
Must be very well organised & disciplined
Experience with working on multi projects – up to 3-4 at any time.

Principle Accountabilities:

o Performing Electrical, Mechanical and Life tests on products (Aircraft generators, starters, actuator motors and associated control electronics) using high speed drives in conjunction with electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment and analogue and digital instrumentation.
o Design of specific tests for specific customer criteria.
o Design and setting up of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
o Setting up of electrical wiring to specific impedance’s.
o Ability to fault find test equipment and test rigs.
o Ability to use and program Data Acquisition systems (Dewetron system in conjunction with Dasy Lab software)
o Writing of Technical documentation, including test procedures, Engineering Reports, Compliance Analysis, Equipment Specifications and Production Acceptance Test Specifications.
o Involvement in the design process, working with engineers from other disciplines including Design, Stress, Configuration, Materials etc.
o Ability to plan workload (using MS Project)
o Ability to lead (Work Package Owner) a small team of Engineers, coordinating activities and liaising with Project Managers and Lead Engineers and the customer.
o Perform data analysis of test results, assess trends to identify and help resolve generator performance issues. Ability to perform 6 sigma assessment for various test processes (advantageous).
o Provide Technical Development and Certification advice
o Ability to guide and train other engineers as required.
o Design test equipment and fixtures, create marked up drawings of critical dimensions/ functionality for acceptance checks after manufacture.
o Raise capital sanctions for high cost items including procurement specifications, financial and technical justification and acceptance test requirements.

Basic Qualifications :  o An electrical biased aerospace degree with some mechanical experience is desirable. Ratio is approximately. 70% electrical / 30% mechanical bias or equivalent.

o Must be self-sufficient and largely self-motivated.

o Ability to communicate clearly through written and verbal means to all levels of staff e.g. reports, interact with other Engineering teams.
o Ability to work under pressure to meet programme deadline
o Broad Development / certification knowledge and experience e.g. thorough understanding of all aspects of Development Engineering including Compliance Verification, Technical Risk, compilation of technical documentation, use of instrumentation
o Experienced in MS Excel, Flexpro, DasyLab.
o Basic knowledge of 3 stage generators, ac & dc starter motors, actuator motors. Experience of full aircraft electrical system would be an advantage.
o Good working knowledge of MS Software i.e. Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project.

As Rig Support ECU Engineer with a heavy duty fuel system supplier you will primarily be required to support the running of test rigs and development of test capabilities to meet the specified requirements of the product development and validation teams.

Responsibilities for the Rig Support ECU Engineer include:
Responsible for the integration and support of ECU technologies with regard to internal test rig activities.
Commission ECU systems on test rigs; calibrate, test, document system performance.
Calibration of non-standard systems such as single cylinder rigs and advanced development projects.
